I thought his limitations going forward made him the weakest link in the 11 who started against Huddersfield, but he has made the step up better than any other promotion player in my opinion. An outstanding defensive right-back who looked light years ahead of any other options in that position. I’m very glad he is in the Premier League next season because he was one of the few who looked clearly to have that quality.

They'd all laugh at me if they knew what I was trying to do. To create a new strain of super-wine in half-an-hour with a fraction of nature's resources and a FOOL for an assistant. 'Bernard Black, he's mad,' they'd say, 'he's insane, he's dangerous.' Well I'll show them! I'll show them all!

I concur this. I've always said he is a much better defending defender than an attacking defender. We will miss him if we go up in 12 months.

He’ll be back if Burnley go down

It’s pissed me off a bit, he’s spent half the season out with injury or a slashed hand supposedly self inflicted. During that time we have looked after him and paid him.

One season in the Champ to see if we went up wouldn’t have killed him.

I guess I’m more pissed pff than usual as I always thought he would be immense. I find it strange to see the love in considering how many people were offering to drive him home in their own car after his first few games.

Bunch of arse.

I reckon he'll aim to prove his fitness this season and then move abroad.
