It's amazing how many people are looking at the first game as a hard deadline. We're going to be investing £20m all in (fee, wages, fees etc) for on a striker and probably another £20m on a CM as well.
We need the right player for the 4-5 years they will have a contract for. If we don't have someone in the building for the first game then so be it. |  |

B: This ownership group and CEO have earned the right to be trusted. I'd much rather sign the right players late in the window than take a punt now because people on message boards are stressing themselves out.
