Is continuity our problem? 09:25 - Aug 24 with 132 viewsRIPbobby

People keep saying that continuity is our problem, but I'm not sure it is. In pre season we blew away teams who tried to beat us, but in the league and cup matches we have had 4 teams do a job on us and I'm sure John Eustance's lots will do the same next week. Our model is just too easy to play against. In a very old school way whenever we went near Preston's box their lumps just whacked it away. No nonsense.

At times yesterday we connected very well. I remember we picked up the ball on the edge of our own area and did a diagonal pass up, diagonal pass down and did this 4 or 5 times and moved up the pitch in seconds. It was brilliant. The trouble was we encountered a impenetrable wall. Last season Omari would have dribbled through the players and solve this. I think Clarke tried this, but he was picking the ball up too deep and came up against a midfield wall before the main defensive wall.

We are just a classy team who everyone loves to set up shop against and once we concede we are in trouble. In years gone by an injury crisis or bizzare circumstances has lead us into a winning formula. Remember Bristol Rovers away and what happened after that. Please oh please give us a lucky 1-0 win somewhere.
