I think he would be too expensive to get rid of. Not that I want to. Its been a far, far more aggressive transfer window than I was expecting in both directions, for me there's been far too much change, we've overpaid in certain areas and let good, proven players and people leave for relative peanuts. Its a very high stakes approach, I think we had the basis of a strong and tight knit squad that needed tweaking for Championship life, in MA's words a summer of retention and 'evolution not revolution'. Well we've not see that at all. A lot of pressure on McKenna and his team now to effectively build a new side in a short space of time. I still think he's the man to do it, from a footballing perspective there's no doubts in my mind but in terms of the broader transfer strategy I'm left scratching my head with a lot of it tbh. |  |
