Chaplin is the one I'm saddest to see depart. For me, he personified the cheeky, upstart character of that feat. The times he would materialise in the box, to defenders' surprise and horror, to send the ball into the net. Or slam it through a crowded penalty area from a cut-back corner. Tangling with opponents he made look like giants and coming out on top, or at least with a free kick. Vale atque ave!

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Yeah, Chappers, Burns (last man standing almost) and Morsy for me.

Chaplin scampering across the pitch when the third went in against Soton will remain in my memory for ever.

Burns may yet be the last one standing! Think he was the first of that cohort to sign, too (Woolfenden excepted, of course).
