If anyone in here has Jewish friends, neighbours or work colleagues then please check on them and ask if they are ok. For members of an ethno-religious group who have been persecuted for over two millennia, it can feel like the whole world is against you. Especially the way antisemitism has drastically spiked over the past two years, plus the events on Bondi Beach and other anti semitic terror attacks. Please show them that it’s not.

Had the second gunman aimed a bit higher, he’d have lost those balls. He’s incredibly lucky to be alive. Taking on one armed person would have been impressive enough, but to do that with another a-hole shooting at you is ridiculously brave.

People generally are decent. But it’s the wangers who get all the attention unfortunately.

Edit: I’m just having a catch up on BBC and this sums up how generous most people are. We can all be heroes in a small way:
