I do find it most strange that we must shield the noble European clubs from being drawn against one another.

Kinda makes sense when you read the justification, given the Europa and CL games are in different weeks. Normal service resumes in R3.

It's being done to please the sponsors. Separating the big clubs makes it far ore likely that they will reach the semi finals & final, hence attracting larger TV audiences & more publicity. |  |
