Jim: We'll Solve This

Boss Jim Magilton conceded that his managerial career had got off to a nightmare start, but vowed to get things right by bringing in new players. West Ham midfielder Mark Noble joins on loan on Monday.

Magilton said: "I knew there would be ups and downs but even in my worst nightmares I never thought we'd have lost three out of the first three games.

"We'll solve this by getting the right players in, so I'll have to wheel and deal.

"But that can only happen if we can attract players to a club which is losing games and that's where I've got to work my magic - use a bit of the blarney if you like.

"Right now, it's a matter of having belief and I certainly won't lose belief in myself.

"People who don't want to go along with me on that won't stay at the club, it's as simple as that."

Magilton explained his second half confrontation with Leicester coach Mike Stowell: "The ball had gone out of play and I just wanted to get it back to our lads.

"To be fair, I didn't think Josh Low saw when he tried to hook it on off my fingernail.

"After that, I think it was a case of Mike wanting to show a bit of passion - I think he was showing off."

Foxes manager Rob Kelly had sympathy for his opposite number: "I know how Jim feels because I felt like that when we lost on Tuesday.

"But he'll be fine - he's got good knowledge and good people around him.

"You've got to maintain a sense of perspective because we've still got 43 games of the season to go.

"I wasn't going to chuck myself off a bridge after we lost our first two games and, just because we've won, I'm not going to treat myself to a holiday in New York.

"It was unlike me to make four changes to the side, but it wasn't a criticism of the players I left out, I just felt we needed to go a different route today.

"We scored three good goals and should have had four because the video shows the one Matty Fryatt had disallowed should have stood because he wasn't offside."
