![]() Thursday, 17th Aug 2006 10:40 Boss Jim Magilton has confirmed that Bulgarian international Ivaylo Petkov spent the early part of the week on trial at Portman Road. The Town manager says the 30-year-old has impressed him in training and he now wants to see him in game action. Magilton told the club site: "The lad had 60-odd caps behind him for Bulgaria, so he has some pedigree and he did well when he was with us. "We're hoping to arrange a game so we can see him in a match situation. You can only tell so much in training and we would want to see him play before we consider anything else. "He can play left-back or on the left side of central defence and has certainly done enough for a second look." Town's interest in the former Fenerbahçe and Ankaragücü first broke in the Scottish press yesterday after a short unsuccessful spell on trial at Celtic.
