Boss Jim Magilton says that there could be more loan additions to his squad. The Town manager will also allow players on the fringes of the squad to leave Portman Road on short-term spells.

Magilton said: "We have people in mind and there could be a few go from here - we will see."

Already midfielder Liam Trotter has joined Millwall on a loan spell until January, the 18-year-old making his debut for the Lions as a sub last week.

Strikers Darryl Knights and Danny Haynes, midfielder Sammy Moore and defenders Michael Synnott, James Krause and Chris Casement are all at similar stages in their development and could be allowed to move to lower division clubs to gain experience.

Darren Currie, a target of tonight's opponents Coventry during the transfer window, could also be allowed to move on. Football League clubs can make emergency loan signings from seven days after the closure of the transfer window.

Magilton missed out on adding another central defender to his squad before the deadline and may look at adding to his options in this area of his squad. Another right-back was also a target over the summer.
