![]() Tuesday, 3rd Oct 2006 21:55 Town's reserves progressed through to the quarter-finals of the Club Colours Suffolk Premier Cup with a 3-1 first round victory at Felixstowe and Walton. Striker Darryl Knights scored twice for the Blues after Sammy Moore had opened the scoring, Danny Phillips netting for the home side. Moore's 30-yard deflected drive put the Blues in front and Knights's miskicked shot made it 2-0, prior to Phillips scoring for the Ridgeons League side. Knights, Town's most impressive player in an entertaining game, completed the scoring after the break. Winger Martin Brittain was another of the Blues' best performers, while Ian Miller did well captaining the side before departing with a cut head in the 74th minute. Jordan Rhodes, just back after a broken collar bone, looked sharp after being introduced as a 61st minute sub. Reserves: Plummer, Robinson, Miller (Smith 74), Krause, Synnott, Moore, Brittain, Barron, Upson (Reason 56), Bowditch (Rhodes 61), Knights. Att: 738. Thanks to Alasdair Ross for the report.
