Boss Jim Magilton was pleased with his players after they held on to draw 1-1 at Plymouth despite having Fabian Wilnis red-carded with 13 minutes remaining.

Magilton said: "Plymouth made it very difficult for us, but the players were fantastic and it was a good point for us in the end.

"I'm really proud of every one of my players. They never wilted under the pressure Plymouth put us under, especially after Fabian had gone off. We had players throwing their bodies on the line for the team.

"They showed tremendous character all the way through the game and deserve all the credit going.

"I thought Fabian was unlucky to get a red card. It seemed very harsh and we had to dig in with 10 men, but the players did just that and it was a great point for us.

"It's another step forward and now we have to move on and prepare for another long journey and another tough game at Burnley on Saturday."

Assistant manager Bryan Klug also felt the Dutchman was unfortunate to receive his third Town red card: "It looked like Fabian had been fouled in the first place.

"He was very unlucky but I'm not sure what can be done about it.

"I thought the referee had a disappointing game and some of the bookings were very harsh. Gary Roberts got booked for moving the ball a few inches at our freekick."

Plymouth boss Ian Holloway thought his side should have taken more of their chances: "I use a green pen to mark our wins but that's another blue pen result - a draw.

"I am not happy because it is all about winning. I may be happy when I see the video of the match again because we created so many chances, but we gave ourselves a lot to do by conceding in the first minute.

"After that we responded tremendously. I thought we played some of the best, if not the best, we have played all season.

"I hope it was exciting, entertaining football but at the end of the day we did not win and winning is what it's all about if you want to achieve your dream.

"I thought Akos Buzsaky was incredible tonight and David Norris is like that every match.

"But if we want to achieve our goal we need to be more clinical in front of goal."
