![]() Thursday, 2nd Nov 2006 15:22 Striker Darryl Knights has been promoted to the first team squad for Saturday's trip to Burnley due to the injuries to Billy Clarke (knee) and Jon Macken (hamstring). Knights's inclusion tends to suggest that reports earlier today linking the 18-year-old with a loan move to Torquay were incorrect. Knights's only first team appearance came as a sub at Sunderland in November 2004. The FA Youth Cup winner has been in top goalscoring form this season, netting twice in each of his last three competitive appearances for the reserves. Billy Clarke is included in the 19-man party despite his knock, but Macken is not named. Fabian Wilnis is unavailable as he is suspended, while Lewis Price (broken rib), Gavin Williams (recovering from groin surgery) and Owen Garvan (recovering from virus) are all still unavailable. Squad: Barron, Bruce, Clarke, Currie, De Vos, Drobný, Harding, Haynes, Knights, Lee, Legwinski, Naylor, Noble, Peters, Richards, Roberts, Sito, Supple, Walton.
