Stewart to Find Out Today
Stewart to Find Out Today

Marcus Stewart may find out whether his red card against Leeds has been rescinded today. The Town striker appealed against the red card which he felt was unjustified. Town manager George Burley went to see referee Peter Jones after the game and he said he would change his decision if he felt he had been harsh.

Meanwhile Jim Magilton has requested a personal hearing from the FA regarding the misconduct charge brought after the Chelsea game. Magilton berated referee Andy D'Urso after the game and tried to stop Hermann Hreidarsson from shaking hands with the official. Wayne Brown restrained the Northern Ireland player.

The FA are waiting for Magilton to plead either guilty or not guilty before they proceed any further.

Peter "Diesel" Morris late 60s and early 70s Town midfielder has been

sacked from his position as manager of Kettering Town. The Poppies lost 5-1 to Morecambe on Saturday and haven't won a League match since September 2nd.

Morris said: "I’ve been sacked — and I’m gutted. I was contracted to 2003 as manager and it has been taken away from me. But I don’t want to say any more until I’ve spoken to my lawyer. Then I’ll make a statement."

Captain Colin Vowden and former Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds player Carl Shutt will pick the side until a replacement is named.

class="storytext">Town's youths won their FA Youth Cup replay with Sheffield United 4-2 at Bramall Lane last night. Goals from Robert Dickinson, Ian Westlake, Matt Bloomfield and a penalty from Darren Ambrose saw Town home.

Alistair Ross from Dribble! sent this:

"I saw the youths win 4-2 at Sheffield Utd last night, brilliant display and without top man Darren Bent. Star men were midfielder Darren Ambrose and the skipper Guy Bonwick. They now play Man Utd or Forest at home in the Quarter-final (these two play on the 14th February). Ian Smith the U17 coach has made a big difference this year. In the Directors' Box watching was Chris Waddle, who led the applause after a bit of superb skill by Robert Dickinson. Let's

get a campaign going for a really big crowd for the next game."

Sounds good to me.

Town side: Kelly, Artun, Beevers, Bonwick, Chaffey, Snowdon, Westlake, Bloomfield, Ambrose, Burton and Dickinson. Subs: Richards, Duncan, Connell, Subrin and Hulyer.

We've put up some pictures of the current state the Churchaman's development. At present the old roof is being removed while the new one takes shape. Take a look at the photos of this interesting stage of the development here: http://www.twtd.co.uk/southstand
