Kerr Bid Turned Down
Kerr Bid Turned Down

Scottish newspapers are reporting that Town have had a bid to take young Falkirk midfielder Mark Kerr on trial turned down. According to Falkirk's manager Alex Totten not just Town, but West Ham have come in for the highly-rated 18-year-old.

Totten said: "West Ham and Ipswich wanted him for a week's trials but neither Mark nor his father wanted that. I have been in management for more than 20 years and you don't need to take players you know on trial to see how good they are."

He added: "I think every manager in the land was at Brockville on Monday so they must have been impressed with what they saw of Mark and Steven Rennie. If they got the chance, we would not stand in their way."

Stories linking Mark Kerr with Town have been around for a long time with George Burley dismissing them earlier in the season. However, it does seem we are interested in the lad.

Bellshill born Kerr has made just 24 League appearences (6 as sub) so far, but is very highly rated indeed.
