![]() Thursday, 15th Feb 2001 15:38 Cambridge United are to seek to extend Richard Logan's loan spell when it ends at the end of next week. Logan has been a big hit at the Abbey Stadium and scored his first goal in the 2-0 win at Wycombe last week. Cambridge Player/Coach John Taylor said: "Richard has shown he has the potential to play at a high level but seeing that he's been doing so well with us it might well be in Ipswich's interests to allow him to stay longer. A lot of Premiership clubs have arrangements with Nationwide clubs where players go on loan for a season or part of a season, and it would be good for us to get something like that."
This may well be something Town would agree to with George Burley keen that Logan be pushed on after a couple of years largely in the reserves where he has stagnated. Taylor continued: "He struck up a very good relationship up front with Ritchie Humphreys at Wycombe and he would benefit from playing alongside somebody with Ritchie's ability and experience."
