![]() Thursday, 15th Feb 2001 15:54 Town are claiming that they have not heard from the FA regarding the appeal against Marcus Stewart's red card. The club have told us that David Sheepshanks was speaking to the FA this morning about the alleged decision and a spokesperson told us that: "we are still hopeful". George Burley said: "The FA have not officially informed us of the result, and I'm sure they would talk to us before telling anyone else. Talks between our chairman David Sheepshanks and the FA were taking place as recently as this morning." Meanwhile a number of Message Boarders have written to the FA to complain about the alleged refusal to rescind the decision. The replies they have received suggest the appeal has been decided and has failed. It all seems very odd to us.
