Burley Three-signs!
Burley Three-signs!
Thursday, 16th Sep 1999 17:53

Town manager George Burley today persuaded three of the stars of the season so far to commit to Town for longer periods. Mark Venus has signed an extension keeping him at Town until the end of next season, whilst striking sensation Richard Naylor has signed for Town until 2003 and Wayne Brown until 2002. Good to see George trying to make sure we don't get any more Bobby Petta-esque situations. Richard Wright, however still seems unable to commit himself to the club any further that the end of next season.

Missing training today were Matt Holland, as reported earlier and Jamie Clapham. The club are now hopeful that both will make it for Saturday.

Tendinitis victim Titus Bramble has begun light training. Read exactly what has been wrong with Titus and what the club has done to rectify his problems in the new TWTD, available Saturday. Includes the word orthotics.
