Currie Deal Still Likely
Currie Deal Still Likely

Coventry City manager Micky Adams says that Town midfielder Darren Currie could still join the Sky Blues during the January transfer window despite negotiations stalling. Currie spent November and December on loan at the Ricoh Arena and is keen to make the move a permanent one.

Town are understood to want £70,000 for the 32-year-old, with Coventry only willing to pay a smaller fee for the ex-Brighton and Wycombe man.

Adams said: "The situation has still not changed since the start of the January transfer window. Ipswich want a certain figure and we won't meet their demands, but the deal is not dead."

Currie, who is back training at Portman Road, is out of contract in the summer.
