Darren Currie made his first appearance for the LA Galaxy as a late sub in a 0-0 draw with the New York Red Bulls at The Home Depot Center on Saturday morning. Currie is on a two-week trial with Frank Yallop's club as he seeks to win a place alongside David Beckham on the MLS side's roster.

Currie was introduced as a 75th minute sub in the first of three friendlies he is expected to be involved in during his time in California. You can see Currie in action for the Galaxy here.

Closer to home, Martin Brittain was subbed at half-time during Yeovil's 4-2 defeat at Port Vale, his 14th appearance for his loan club over two spells. Darryl Knights, like Brittain with the Glovers until the end of the season, was not named in the 16.

Elsewhere, Ian Miller played his fifth game for his latest loan club Darlington as they drew 0-0 with Walsall, Scott Barron was an unused sub for Wrexham as the Welsh side won 2-1 at Barnet and James Krause wasn't included in Carlisle's 16 for their 1-1 home draw with Oldham.
