Fourth Cap for Smith?
Friday, 23rd Mar 2007 11:00

Academy defender Tommy Smith could win his fourth England U17 cap this afternoon when his side take on Bosnia in a European Championship elite qualifying round game. Bosnia are hosting the Group Three games over the course of the next week.

England face Azerbaijan on Sunday and Serbia on Wednesday. Smith won his first three caps for the U17s at last month's Algarve Tournament.

Smith, 17 next week, turned down the chance to represent New Zealand, where he lived from the age of eight until he joined the Blues last summer, to play for England, the country of his birth.

Winger Jaime Peters will be in action for Canada's U20s on Saturday when they face Scotland in the first of two friendlies at the Swangard Stadium in Burnaby. The second game is on Tuesday at the Royal Athletic Park in Victoria.

Defender Chris Casement, who joined Millwall on a month's loan on Thursday, is in line to win his second Northern Ireland U21 cap on Saturday in a friendly against Romania.
