![]() Thursday, 5th Apr 2007 08:35 Midfielder Gavin Williams has called on Wales boss John Toshack to give him a second chance. Williams has not been called into an international squad since pulling out of the party which played Bulgaria in a friendly last August due to the groin problem which eventually required surgery. The former West Ham and Yeovil man says that Toshack was unhappy at his withdrawal, particularly as the 26-year-old started Town's home game with Hull City the following Saturday. Williams is keen to make a return to international action now that his injury problems appear to be behind him: “Perhaps he thought I have pulled out because I didn't fancy the journey down to Wales or whatever. But the truth is I love playing for my country, so that has made it an even more frustrating time.” The Merthyr Tydfil-born player has previously won two full caps.
