![]() Monday, 21st May 2007 11:44 Dutch veteran Fabian Wilnis says he has not been offered a testimonial by the Blues, despite a Dutch report claiming he had been given a game as part of his new one-year deal. Wilnis has now signed his new contract. Wilnis told the club site: "I want to make it clear to everyone that I have not been given a testimonial. "I have been away over the last week and came back to find a lot of messages on my phone asking about 'my testimonial', which confused me. "I did an interview with a Dutch magazine and they asked me about whether I would be awarded a testimonial and I said that I hadn't thought about it at all. Even after next season it would only be nine-and-a-half years, so it wasn't something that I had discussed with the club. "I was totally misquoted and have made that clear to the magazine. I also want to make it clear to the supporters I have definitely not been granted a testimonial. "I am thrilled to be at the club for another year and I'm really looking forward to next season. I'm sure it's going to be an exciting one." Get the fastest and most comprehensive Ipswich Town news service at ipswichtown.footballlatest.co.uk.
