Foley Forging Spain Link

Coach Steve Foley says his links with La Liga side Valencia could lead to player exchanges between the clubs. Foley has previously travelled to Spain to take a look at the six-time Spanish champions' training methods and is spending five more days with Los Ches this week.

Foley said: “A link-up is possible and I shall be meeting Valencia coach Quique Flores again.

“There is a chance we can loan players from one club to the other, and a spell in Spain would be beneficial to one or two of our youngsters."

Town have previously organised academy links with a number of clubs on the continent, including Dutch side Heerenveen, Norwegians ODD Grenland and Swedish club Giffarna Sundsvall. Recently, Irish club Salthill Devon sent over a party of youngsters to spend time at Playford Road.

Foley will be back at Portman Road for the start of pre-season training on June 12th.
