Town to Face Chelmsford

Chelmsford City have announced a pre-season friendly with Town at the Chelmsford Sports and Athletics Centre on Wednesday, July 18th (KO 7.45pm).

German side 1860 Munich have previously announced a match against the Blues on the same night which may suggest that it will be a second string line-up which travels to Essex, although the Munich club's website states that their pre-season schedule is subject to change.

Town's pre-season programme also includes games at Burton Albion on July 10th, Kettering Town on July 12th and Bury Town on July 27th with further matches still to be announced including at least one high profile friendly at Portman Road.

The Blues squad will start their pre-season preparations earlier than ever before on June 12th.
