De Vos Doing Well
De Vos Doing Well

Skipper Jason De Vos is happy with his progress after his late season foot operation. De Vos and the rest of the squad returned to training on Tuesday.

The Canadian told the club site: "My recovery has gone well and I'm where I hoped I would be.

"I will have to cater my training to suit my recovery, but things are progressing well.

"I have to be careful, but it's the same with Bam Bam and Sylvain; we're all in the same boat."

Naylor missed out at the end of last season due to bone bruising, while Legwinski broke a metatarsal at Luton in March.

De Vos says he is behind Jim Magilton's decision to ease his players back into training a fortnight earlier than usual: "I think it's a good idea to have come back a few weeks earlier.

"Normally in the first two weeks of pre-season, you just work and work, day and night and you can overload the body.

"It's very demanding physically, but this way we will ease our way into it and hopefully that will mean less chance of picking up any early injuries.

"We have been doing tai chi, judo and pilates as well, which are all about injury prevention. It's all about finding what works for each individual."
