Alexander Close to Deal Saturday, 14th Jul 2007 14:07 Reports in Wales continue to link the Blues with a move for out-of-contract former Cardiff City keeper Neil Alexander. However, the Scotland international is remaining tight-lipped regarding his new club, which he expects to join this week. In a lengthy piece in the South Wales Echo, which repeatedly mentions the Blues, Alexander says he has had a number of offers since turning down a new deal at Ninian Park and is close to agreeing terms with his new side: “There have been several clubs interested and all I know from my agent is that I will have a club by the end of the week. “I've been in the gym every day to keep up my fitness, but I need to get training with the ball and new team-mates as I'm two weeks behind everyone else." Town were first linked with Alexander back in May with the Blues again looking to the Edinburgh-born keeper after failing to land Richard Wright.
