![]() Wednesday, 8th Aug 2007 00:10 Town's reported scouting mission to the Czech Republic this week is likely to be to watch Slavia Prague in action against MSK Zilina in a Champions League second qualifying round game on Wednesday evening. First team coach Bryan Klug and chief scout Steve McCall were reported on their way to Prague at some point this week. Possible targets in the Slavia squad include Czech U21 international central defender Martin Latka, who spent the final six months of 2005/06 on loan at Birmingham City, and Slovak Matej Krajcik, who may also fit the bill as a potential target, having played for his country's senior side on seven occasions. Latka, 22, made seven appearances during his spell at St Andrew's. The 6ft 4in tall defender started his career at Ceske Budejovice before joining Slavia in 2003. Krajcik, 29, has been with Slavia for the last four years. Slavia and Zilina drew the first leg of their tie 0-0 last week.
