Town have announced an unchanged squad for Tuesday's Carling Cup first round tie at the MK Dons' new stadium:mk (KO 7.45pm). The Blues have no new injury worries after Saturday, but boss Jim Magilton is likely to give some of his fringe players a run-out.

Dutch veteran Fabian Wilnis could come into the backline, perhaps for Jason De Vos, who continues to have problems with his foot, despite undergoing surgery over the summer. Richard Naylor is out for three months after undergoing a toe operation.

In the past, Town have often given their second choice keeper a game in the Carling Cup, however it is likely that Magilton will want to continue with Neil Alexander so the Scot and his defence can work on gaining a greater understanding.

In midfield, Sylvain Legwinski is in need of games as he progresses towards full fitness after his broken metatarsal at the end of last season. Jaime Peters may also come in wide on the right with Jon Walters perhaps used in an attacking role. George O'Callaghan will also hope to play some part, while Gavin Williams is out for around four months after damaging ankle ligaments against Panathinaikos.

Striker Alan Lee might be rested after a traumatic week and boss Jim Magilton may be keen to see how Pablo Couñago and Walters play as a pair with Danny Haynes and Billy Clarke options from the bench. Dean Bowditch, who Jim Magilton has confirmed is still interesting Brighton, is still a little way from a return to first team action after groin surgery.

The Dons will be without former Blue Drissa Diallo, who faces a three-match ban after being red-carded for an elbow in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Bury in stadium:mk's inaugural match.

Keeper Nathan Abbey, who was on a short-term deal with the Blues between December 2003 and January 2004, is likely to be amongst the substitutes.

Manager Paul Ince could recall former Norwich striker Drewe Broughton, while fellow frontman Aaron Wilbraham is not yet fit after an ankle operation. Scott Taylor has a knee problem.

Last week, the Football Supporters Federation and the Wimbledon Independent Supporters Association officially withdrew their call for away fans to boycott MK Dons matches after the franchise club returned Wimbledon's trophies to Merton Council.

Town fans will be looking for an improvement in the Blues' Carling Cup form after a defeat on penalties to Peterborough last season followed on from losses in previous years to Notts County, Doncaster Rovers and Yeovil Town.

Tuesday's referee is Paul Taylor from Hertfordshire, who took control of Norwich's 0-0 draw at Preston at the weekend. Taylor showed 117 yellow and nine red cards in 37 games last season. His last Town match was the 2-1 home victory over Coventry in September 2006 in which he booked Dan Harding, Alex Bruce, Mark Noble and two Sky Blues players.

Squad: Alexander, Bruce, Clarke, Couñago, De Vos, Garvan, Harding, Haynes, Lee, Legwinski, O'Callaghan, T Miller, Peters, Roberts, Supple, Walters, Wilnis, Wright.
