Moore Sees Red
Moore Sees Red

Town's Sammy Moore picked up the first red card of his senior career for loan club Brentford as they lost 1-0 at Wycombe Wanderers on Sunday afternoon.

The midfielder, who is with Terry Butcher's Bees until January, was harshly booked for a second time for simulation by referee Andy Hall, although it appeared to be clear that that Moore had been clipped by Chairboys midfielder Sergio Torres. The decision was typical of an over-fussy and sometimes bewildering display by the official.

Moore, who celebrated his 20th birthday on Friday, has made seven starts since moving to Griffin Park at the beginning of the season and did well enough in the early stages to have his initial month extended to a half-season loan.

Elsewhere, central defender Ian Miller came on as an 83rd minute sub for his loan club Darlington as the Quakers defeated Rotherham 2-0 at Millmoor on Saturday. The former Bury Town man has made one start and three sub appearances in his latest spell with Darlo, scoring once.

George O'Callaghan made his second successive start for Brighton as they beat Willie Donachie's Millwall at the Withdean Stadium on Saturday, having joined the Seagulls 10 days ago. The Irishman, who was booked during the game against the Lions, is on loan with Albion until January.
