![]() Monday, 17th Sep 2007 09:15 Academy striker Paul Murphy won his fourth Republic of Ireland U17 cap as his side defeated Denmark 2-0 in Athlone on Sunday evening. The victory means the Irish have qualified for the European U17 Championship elite phase of qualifying. Murphy came close to scoring early on in the game with a 20-yard freekick which went narrowly wide. The Republic complete their home-based first phase qualifying mini-group games with a match against Slovenia in Longford on Wednesday.
