![]() Monday, 12th Nov 2007 11:16 Boss Jim Magilton has tipped hat-trick hero Jon Walters to win full international honours with the Republic of Ireland. The 24-year-old is in the Irish B squad for their friendly with Scotland a week on Tuesday. Magilton told the club site: "He has a great desire about him to keep moving forward as a player. The hunger is there, the attitude is there. He works so hard at his game and that's a great characteristic to have. "He deserves his call-up for the Republic of Ireland B squad and, if he can continue his improvement, then there is no reason why he can't step up to the full international scene." Walters has dedicated Saturday's hat-trick to his grandmother, who died just over a week ago. Last Wednesday the Birkenhead-born player flew to Dublin for her funeral and was wearing a black armband during Saturday's game.
