Bruce a Doubt for Charlton Trip Wednesday, 5th Dec 2007 20:39 Defender Alex Bruce is a doubt ahead of Saturday's trip to Charlton Athletic after pulling a groin muscle during Tuesday's 2-0 defeat at Bristol City. However, the Republic of Ireland international has not yet been ruled out. Physio Matt Byard told the club site: "We will know more on Thursday when he has a scan. "He has a muscle strain in the right abductor. He'll see the doctor and we will take it from there. "It had improved this morning from last night and will have another night to settle down and then we will see what the scan shows. "We haven't ruled Alex out yet for the weekend. It's a case of wait and see." If Bruce fails to make it, Fabian Wilnis will take over alongside Jason De Vos at the centre of the defence with Richard Naylor still sidelined. Town's longest serving player is currently resting a back injury.
