The request for information on Norwegian defender Erlend Hanstveit, linked with Town over the weekend, has not fallen on deaf ears. TWTD Message Board reader KarlNorw gave us his view of the Norwegian U21 defender.

KarlNorw said: "Highly-rated central midfielder who has been had trials with Manchester United. Alex Ferguson tried to buy him two years ago at the age of 18, but instead he opted for a five-year deal with SK Brann. Ferguson is still very keen on the player!"

He added that the player: "Has been struggling with injuries, but last season he caught the eye on several occasions. Very strong in the tackle and a player with great vision."

Sounds OK to us, we'll see whether there is any genuine interest from Town.
