![]() Friday, 1st Oct 1999 00:03 Town striker Richard Naylor has been charged with misconduct by the FA. The charge refers to the incident when Birmingham defender Darren Purse made a dramatic collapse to the ground during the ill-tempered game with the Brummies a couple of weeks back. Naylor himself said of the incident that there was a scuffle fo sorts in the penalty area at a freekick and that his head and Purse's head (Purse? Not even handbags?) made inadvertant contact. However, the authorities have studied the incident and clearly seen what they see as a misdemeanor. Naylor has 14 days to respond to the charges and request a personal hearing.
