![]() Sunday, 20th Jan 2008 18:43 Chairman David Sheepshanks has reiterated that the Blues have not accepted a bid from Burnley for striker Alan Lee. A number of this morning's newspapers incorrectly quoted boss Jim Magilton as saying that a £900,000 deal had been agreed. Sheepshanks told the club site: “Contrary to newspaper reports, I can confirm that we have not accepted a bid from Burnley for Alan. "Jim spoke to the media after Saturday's game and told them exactly that - that no bid had been accepted for Alan from Burnley. At this stage, that is exactly how it stands.” Lee is understood to be very settled living on the Suffolk-Essex border and would be very unlikely to want to make a move back to the North-West.
