Clarke Makes First Falkirk Start

Striker Billy Clarke made his first start for loan club Falkirk as they drew 0-0 at Dundee United on Saturday afternoon. However, Shane Supple, also on loan with the Bairns, was again left on the bench.

On Friday, Town boss Jim Magilton revealed that he had had words with Falkirk manager John Hughes regarding Supple's lack of games. The reason for the Irish keeper's short-term switch was to get match experience under his belt.

Due to the rules relating to loans between clubs in different national associations, Town are unable to recall Supple before his spell is up at the end of the season.

Elsewhere, Dean Bowditch played the first 76 minutes and Matt Richards the full 90 as Brighton defeated Oldham 1-0 at the Withdean Stadium.

Jaime Peters was used as an 83rd minute sub as Yeovil lost 3-0 at home to Southend.

Gary Roberts is reported to have impressed for Crewe as the Railwaymen drew 1-1 with Leeds at Elland Road, while defender Tommy Smith made his senior debut and helped keep a clean sheet as his temporary Stevenage Borough side drew 0-0 with Grays Athletic at Broadhall Way.
