Season Ticket Prices Frozen

Town have revealed that season ticket prices for 2008/09 will be frozen if the Blues remain in the Championship. However, due to the scheme initially announced a year ago, if the Blues are promoted to the Premier League, fans will receive a 50% rebate on their season tickets.

Existing season ticket holders who renew before the club's early bird deadline of Sunday, 13th April will pay the same as they did last year, if Jim Magilton's side fail to make the leap out of the Championship.

Town's ‘Premier League Price Pledge' means that supporters who were season ticket holders during 2006/07and 2007/08 will get a 50% rebate on their seats for 2008/09 if Blues are in the Premier League and if they buy their ticket before the April 13th cut off.

Those fans who are current season ticket holders and renew for 2008/09 but didn't have tickets for last season will receive a 20% rebate.

Chief executive Derek Bowden says the club would have to reimburse fans a significant sum if Town go up: "Promotion will mean the club paying back close on £2 million to the season ticket holders who qualify for the rebate - and we'd be delighted to do so.

"Over 13,000 supporters would be watching Premier League football for half the price they have paid this year, so we believe the incentive is certainly there for supporters to sign up for next year before the deadline.

"We are also very keen to maintain the 'family club' appeal and have launched the U11s season ticket for £10, when bought with an adult season ticket.

"It works out to just 43p per game in the Championship which we are confident is the best deal for youngsters amongst clubs in the Premier League and Championship."

New season ticket holders will pay an average of 5.7% more for a seat for 2008/09 than they would have done in 2007/08, while the club has introduced a new interest free direct debit scheme via which fans can spread their payment over four months.
