Academy striker Paul Murphy is likely to be in Republic of Ireland U17 action this evening when his side take on Germany in their first European U17 Championship elite group qualifier at Terryland Park, Galway.

The young Irish side face Greece in their second game in Lissywoollen on Friday with their final match on 18th March when Portugal are at Terryland Park. The winner of the group goes through to the finals in Turkey in May.

Last month Murphy scored a goal in each game as the Irish beat Finland in two friendlies.
