![]() Saturday, 15th Mar 2008 19:19 Town's U18s were held to a 0-0 draw by Birmingham City at Playford Road on Saturday morning. With a reserve match against Colchester on Monday, Town once again fielded a very young side including several regular U16s players. Schoolboy midfielder Billy Clark struck the post with a long-range volley early on, whilst Town's Luke Hyam and Birmingham's James O'Brien were both booked for bad challenges by the over-fussy referee. Town striker Jack Ainsley came closest to scoring in the second half when his shot hit a defender and was looping in until Brum keeper Dean Lyness got across to save. Town's U16s won 4-3 in a thrilling match with their Birmingham counterparts. U18s: Ward, Clemo, Dunbar, Hyam (Wickham), Watson, Eastman, Clark, Daniels, Ainsley, Lambe and C Williams. Unused subs: Griffiths, Traveller and Brandon.
