![]() Friday, 21st Mar 2008 08:45 Spanish full-back Sito says he would like to remain with the Blues when his contract ends in the summer, but wants to "feel importantâ€Â. The former Racing Club de Ferrol man was left in the wilderness for the first half of the season before breaking into the side over Christmas. Sito had been expected to move on in January with a number of Championship sides, including Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich City, interested in his signature, but a run of good form saw him return to Jim Magilton's plans. The 27-year-old says he would like his future settled after a fluctuating 2007/08: "I am happy at Ipswich but this season has been very up and down for me. "I was sent off when I wanted to stay in the team and keep my place and now I am enjoying playing games again. "I don't know what will happen with my future contract. At the moment I am thinking about playing games and if I am playing then maybe I will get another contract. "I want to be an important person in the club, though. For six months I did not play and it is hard not playing. "I last spoke about my future with my agent before the Blackpool game and then I was sent off. My preference is to stay here but I want to feel important." Sito joined the Blues on a free transfer in the summer of 2005 after impressing in a trial. He has now made 47 starts and 11 sub appearances for the Blues, is yet to score but has been red-carded three times.
