Boss Jim Magilton has revealed that midfielder Jaime Peters will be in the Canada squad which faces Brazil in a friendly in Seattle on May 31st. Peters won the last of his 13 senior caps in a 1-0 friendly defeat to Hungary in November 2006.

Magilton says he will consider whether to allow Peters to rejoin Yeovil on loan next season: "We know Jaime has capabilities and we know Yeovil would like to take him back on loan. That is an option we will weigh up.”

Peters's progress will be monitored through the summer with Magilton feeling that his participation in the U20 World Cup last summer hampered his start to 2007/08. The 21-year-old, who is contracted until 2010, broke through into the first team at the end of the previous season, but failed to make the same impact last year.

Meanwhile, Magilton has tipped England U17 international central defender Tommy Smith to be amongst a host if young players who will be out to make their mark next season: "I expect Upson, Rhodes, Reason, Robinson, Trotter, Casement and Smith to be busting a gut to win every race, everything in training, to make an impression.

"Tommy has benefited greatly from going out on loan [at Stevenage Borough]. He has a big pre-season ahead of him and I have high hopes for him. If he comes back and hits the new season running, then he will play games.”

Smith, 18, made 15 appearances during his loan spell at Broadhall Way, receiving rave reviews.

Midfielder Ed Upson will be most familiar to supporters for scoring the winning goal in the 2005 FA Youth Cup final while still at school, while Kurt Robinson has had an impressive season at left-back in the reserves.

Jai Reason and Liam Trotter will be looking to push the likes of Owen Garvan, Tommy Miller and Velice Sumulikoski for central midfield roles next season, with Jordan Rhodes out to add to his first senior Town goal and Chris Casement to take his tally of first team appearances beyond its current total of five starts and seven games from the bench.

Meanwhile, former Blue Russell Osman will leave his position as assistant manager at Exeter over the summer. Osman's last game will be Saturday's Blue Square Premier play-off final against Cambridge United. Another former Town player, striker Richard Logan, is a regular in the Grecians side.

Elsewhere, Marcus Stewart has turned down the offer of a new contract at Yeovil. Stewart, now 35, is currently taking his level three coaching badge and is tipped to look for a player-coach role somewhere in the lower leagues.
