![]() Monday, 19th May 2008 08:55 Town chief executive Derek Bowden has revealed that the club are in talks with National Express regarding cheaper rail travel for supporters. Rail services to and from Ipswich are now run under the National Express name having previously been known as One. Bowden says the initial plan is to introduce something for home games with offers for away travellers planned for the future: "In previous years we have had talks with One about special rates for home games and we will continue to talk to National Express about doing something for home games then maybe extending it nationally.†The club are also talking to National Express about amending their timetable on match nights in order to accommodate fans. The Blues have ruled out a suggestion that home evening games should start at 8pm. Bowden has also revealed that the Blues are considering playing the second of their friendlies with Lazio on an international weekend, perhaps even in Rome. Town are owed another game by the Serie A side as part of the deal which saw Matteo Sereni leave Portman Road in 2003.
