Town striker Danny Haynes was in goalscoring action at Fratton Park last night in a charity match for Nwankwo Kanu's Heart Foundation. Haynes was part of a Friends of Kanu side which lost 8-6 to a Pompey XI in a game which is an annual event.

Haynes scored the first goal of the game as the Nigerian's select team stormed into an early two-goal lead before being pegged back by the Portsmouth side, for whom Kanu scored a hat-trick. Joining Haynes in the Friends team were West Ham's Anton Ferdinand and Carlton Cole, Portsmouth's John Utaka and former Colchester man Lomana Lua Lua, how with Olympiacos.

Saturday's FA Cup-winning goal scorer started the Kanu Heart Foundation after undergoing career-saving heart surgery while a player with Inter Milan.
