Keller Second Fulham Keeper Linked

Fulham's Kasey Keller is the latest keeper to be linked by a tabloid with a summer move to the Blues. The 38-year-old is the second Cottagers stopper to be mentioned in connection with Town, Antti Niemi having been linked late last week.

Keller and Niemi look set to leave the Premier League side over the summer with boss Roy Hodgson having signed Mark Schwarzer from Middlesbrough and Darlington's David Stockdale.

US international Keller started his career back in the late eighties with the Portland Timbers in his home country, moving on to Millwall in 1992. After four years at the Den, the 6ft 2in glovesman joined Leicester for three seasons.

A spell with Spanish side Rayo Vallecano followed before a return to the UK and Tottenham in 2001. Capped 102 times by his country, Keller was on loan at Southampton in 2004, then a year later joined Borussia Mönchengladbach in Germany.

One of only two players to have been named in four US World Cup squads, Keller signed for Fulham on a free last August and made 14 appearances during 2007/08.

Town are known to want to sign at least one goalkeeper in the summer with Richard Wright appearing to be amongst the frontrunners. Other keepers linked include Carlisle's Keiren Westwood, Thomas Sørensen, recently released by Aston Villa, Liverpool youngster David Martin and Linfield's Alan Mannus.
