A long trip to Burnley follows seven days later after the home Carling Cup tie against Leyton Orient. August continues with a home game against Wolves and a visit to Watford, with September starting with a visit from Reading. The first derby of the season is at Carrow Road on Saturday 6th December, although that match is certain to be switched to the Sunday with a lunchtime kick-off. A similar fate is likely for the home game with the Canaries currently scheduled for Saturday 18th April. The longest midweek trips on next season's schedule include the game at Barnsley on Tuesday 27th January, a visit to Southampton on Tuesday 16th September, the match at Wolves on Tuesday 10th March and a trip to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday October 21st, while the Blues are at Bristol City on Easter Monday, April 13th. That game is part of a run-in which sees the Blues take on the Robins, Norwich at home, Cardiff City away and Coventry at home in the final weeks of the season. At Christmas, Birmingham are at Portman Road on Boxing Day, while there is no New Year's Day game during 2008/09. Town visit Derby on Sunday 28th December with the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday 3rd January. The full list can be seen here.
