![]() Monday, 25th Aug 2008 16:04 Bolton pair Heidar Helguson and Nicky Hunt are the latest players to be linked with the Blues by the national papers. The duo have reportedly been encouraged towards a move to Town by former Trotter Iván Campo. Right-back Hunt, 24, has is yet to play for Bolton this season, but was on the bench at Newcastle on Saturday. The 6ft 1in tall former England U21 international has made 143 starts and 18 sub appearances for Bolton, scoring one goal, having made his debut in the 2000/01 season. Hunt is contracted to his local club until 2011. Town have been on the look-out for another right-back and are currently waiting on Fulham's Moritz Volz deciding on whether he wants to move to Portman Road. Striker Helguson, 5ft 10in tall, is also yet to feature for Bolton this season and has made only five starts and three sub appearances for Gary Megson's club after joining them in the summer of 2007 on a free transfer from Fulham, but has still managed to score two goals. The 31-year-old former Watford and Lillestrom man's time at the Reebok Stadium has been disrupted by an ankle problem which required surgery last season, while a hernia problem saw him miss the opening week of the season. Capped 40 times by Iceland, scoring six goals, Helguson is contracted to Bolton until the summer of 2010. Charlton and Norwich City have previously been linked with a move for Helguson this transfer window with a fee of around £1.5 million mentioned in the press. Town are certainly in the market for a new striker, but the players Jim Magilton has been targeting have tended to be somewhat bigger more physical frontmen than Helguson, who was previously linked with a move to the Blues in the summer of 2005.
