Lambe Hits Four for Bermuda

Academy midfielder Reggie Lambe became the first Town player to score four times in a full international overnight as his Bermuda side thrashed St Martin 7-0 at the Digicel Cup qualifying tournament in the Cayman Islands.

Lambe, who was winning his eighth full cap, opened the scoring in the 27th minute and added his second and Bermuda's third just before half-time.

The 17-year-old completed his hat-trick, the first by a Town player in a senior international, in the 58th minute and rounded off his scoring with Bermuda's sixth with four minutes remaining.

Bermuda, who lost to Antigua and Barbuda in their opening game, face the hosts in their final match as they look to go through to the second stage of qualifying for the finals in Jamaica in December.

Saturday's game had been rescheduled from Friday when Hurricane Gustav hit the Cayman Islands. Fortunately, the area of Grand Cayman where the Bermuda squad was staying suffered little damage and the tournament was allowed to continue.
