Striker Jon Stead was delighted with his debut goal in Town's 2-0 victory over Reading on Saturday. The frontman said he was in "dreamland” after his stunning strike.

Stead rates the goal as one of his best: "I'm in dreamland and I couldn't be happier. I was particularly pleased with the goal. It's right up there with any I have scored in my career.

"I was pleased because I had the centre-half on my left, so I decided to let the shot off and I couldn't have hit it any sweeter.

"There were bodies in the way so when it hit the post I couldn't see if it was going across the goal-line or coming back, so when I saw the net ripple it was a fantastic feeling. All round it was a great day for me.”

Stead says the Blues now have to build on Saturday's victory: "It is no good getting just the one, we now need to see how many more come along.”

Meanwhile, Town have reversed their decision to start charging for tea and coffee in the Champions Lounge. The Lounge is used mainly by corporate supporters but also by some ex-players which led to complaints from some fans.

The Blues amended their policy for Saturday's game with Reading and admitted they had made an error: "We listened to what supporters had to say and in hindsight it was the wrong decision and we have now changed it.”
