![]() Wednesday, 15th Oct 2008 08:53 Skipper Gareth McAuley is set to win his 13th full Northern Ireland cap this evening when his side take on San Marino at Windsor Park in a World Cup qualifier. McAuley played at right-back during Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Slovenia, but could switch to his more usual central defensive role due to Manchester United's Jonny Evans being suspended. Midfielder Veliche Shumulikoski will win his 52nd or 53rd Macedonian cap (UEFA's total disagreeing with Macedonia's official count) when his side take on Iceland in Reykjavik. Alex Bruce has not been named in the Republic of Ireland side taking on Cyprus in their World Cup game at Croke Park. The defender picked up an abductor strain in the challenge match with Nottingham Forest last week and, having missed training since then, is unlikely to be used as a substitute. Meanwhile, Swansea City, Town's Saturday opponents, have an injury concern regarding Spanish winger Andrea Orlandi, who has a hamstring strain. The Swans have an otherwise fit squad.
